Electroless Nickel Plating Finishes

We offer two types of electroless nickel plating finishes including nickel boron nitride and high-phosphorous nickel.

Nickel Boron Nitride (Millenium KR)

  • 6% to 8% boron
  • Coefficient of static friction <0.1
  • Excellent wear resistance
  • Great material release
  • 55Rc as plated, heat treated to 68Rc
  • Uniform deposit distribution of boron nitride particles

High-Phosphorous Nickel (10% to 12%)

  • Excellent corrosion reduction
  • Hardness of 48Rc
  • Heat treated to 68Rc
  • Best for parts exposed to wear in a corrosive environment
  • Uniform distribution
  • Natural lubricity
  • Excellent release
  • Anti-galling properties
  • Low porosity
  • Excellent adhesion
