Hard Chrome
Over the years, Erie Hard Chrome has been committed to supplying the best in chromium plating. Within our traditional chrome line, we offer several precision processes in a number of buildup levels and surface finishes.
Smoke Chrome
Perfect for tool and die applications where tight tolerances are desirable. Smoke chrome provides anticorrosive and anti-stick properties while minimal buildup maintains part size specifications.
Flash Chrome
A selection of deposition levels for exact application requirements. The spectrum of flash chrome buildup grades offers not only corrosion protection and quick release, but increasingly durable wear surface.
Hard Chrome Buildup
Offers deposits for certain applications that require additional buildup, including shaft and roll work.
Marvalloy (Hard Chrome Impregnation)
A matte finish EHC process providing exceptional durability and reduced friction with little or no size change. Marvalloy increases wear resistance in sliding surfaces, yielding long life and reducing maintenance. Low buildup levels and highly uniform dispersion help eliminate the need for undersized design and post-process machining. Marvalloy has a hardness in excess of 70 Rockwell C and is compatible with most ferrous and nonferrous metals.
Satin Finish Hard Chrome
Recommended for many high-wear applications. Satin finish hard chrome offers reduced friction and excellent durability. It is ideal for such applications as rollers, dies or slides where a non-reflective surface is desirable.
