Boron Nitride Composite – Electroless Nickel System

Description:
The Millenium KR Process is an electroless nickel-phosphorous plating system that incorporates boron nitride as occluded particles in a medium phosphorous electroless nickel matrix. This unique process is designed to produce a consistent amount of uniformly dispersed boron nitride throughout the EN deposit.
Millenium KR - Boron Nitride Composite

Millenium KR deposits provide a very low coefficient of friction in wear applications without the reduction in hardness experienced with EN/PTFE composits. Unlike the EN/PTFE composits, Millenium KR deposits can be heat treated to 850 VHN producing an extremely slick, abrasion and wear resistant coating.

Millenium KR deposits can be applied to a wide variety of metals and is especially useful in extending the life of light metals such as aluminum.

Millenium KR deposits typically contain 6-8% by weight of occluded boron nitride particles. Higher and lower particle inclusions can be obtained to match a specific application.

Millenium KR concentrates are manufactured under Statistical Process Control to insure quality and consistency.
